Can’t pay in full? Setup a Payment Plan

If you’ve received a bill from us that you can’t  pay in full, you can set up a payment plan through our automated system, Teleplan, available 24 hours a day at 804.440.5100. You can also call our Collections Department at 804.367.8045 to speak with a service representative during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

For both options, you’ll need your 9-digit Social Security number or federal employer identification number.

Teleplan will not allow you to set up an automated payment plan if one of the following actions is in place on your account:

  • padlock, revocation, criminal warrant, bond, or hold
  • third party lien, pending lien, bankruptcy, existing payment plan, or assignment to an outside collection agency

If the account is not eligible to be set up through Teleplan or if the terms of your plan aren’t accepted, your call will be directed to one of our representatives. If you call outside of our business hours, you will be asked to call back during regular hours to speak with a service representative.

If we accept the terms of your payment plan (monthly or semi-monthly) you must:

  • make all payments when they become due
  • file and pay any future returns on time

Payment Fee - Returned Payments
If your financial institution does not honor your payment to us, we may impose a fee of $35 (Code of Virginia § 2.2-614.1). This fee is in addition to any other penalty/interest related to the account/filing. For details on all fee/penalty/interest types, review the Penalties and Interest page.
